Direct-Push Services

Environmental field investigation techniques have advanced greatly in the last 17 years, and at the forefront of these techniques are the Direct-Push sampling and Direct Sensing units.  S2C2 understands our client’s needs for more cost effective and efficient technologies for addressing environmental problems and has integrated these technologies into our field investigations.  A Direct-Push Unit with an experienced operator is capable of significantly reducing sampling time while increasing sampling accuracy, thereby dramatically cutting overall sampling costs.  S2C2 can perform soil, groundwater, soil-gas, dutal tube soil and groundwater sampling, pre-packed well installation, traditional HSA well installations, injection support, and direct-sensing support with any of our direct-push units.

S2C2 owns the following Direct-Push Units:

S2C2 provides High Resolution Site Characterization services includes: Membrane Interface Probe, Hydraulic Profiling Tool, MiHPT and Data Visualization.

The Geoprobe® 7822 offers increased power over 6000 Series Direct Push Rigs. It is fitted with a GH-64 Hammer designed to advance tooling to greater depths yet still have a limited footprint. The rig has 36,000 pounds of down force and 48,000 pounds of retraction force.

S2C2 has been able to achieve depths over 100' bgs. and push 4.5" tooling to 40' with this unit

The Geoprobe® 6620 is fitted with a powerful GH-62 Hammer and has 35,000 pounds of down force and 47,000 pounds of retraction force. The 6620's small footprint makes it perfect for off-road and tight access applications.

Although smaller than the 7822DT the 6620 has been able  to achieve depths over 100' bgs.

The Geoprobe® 6600 is fitted with a powerful GH-62 Hammer and has 34,000 pounds of down force and 46,000 pounds of retraction force. The 6600 has lot of storage and provides a convient work area for consultants.

Although larger than a track unit the 6600 can run some direct-sensing tools (EC, HPT) without the need for a support truck,  making the overall footprint realatively small.
